It is with great regret that we have made the difficult decision to end our working partnership as co-organisers of the Worldfair and therefore there will be no further Worldfair events.
This decision has been made with reference to the changing campaigning focus within Oxfam, War on Want and the World Development Movement. We feel that the Worldfair has played an important role in moving Fairtrade products to the mainstream market position they now occupy. However, this success means that we feel that our efforts are now best focused elsewhere. In addition, it is increasingly difficult for us to find the funds to make the Worldfair viable. Furthermore we must use our donors' money in the best possible way to make the biggest impact for the people we aim to support.
We are hugely appreciative of the support shown by the many traders who have sold products at the Worldfair over the years and apologise for any disappointment caused by our decision.
